Configuring the PartSmart Interface.
This interface passes Biscount's Pricing and Stock Data to PartSmart and also passes a pick list from PartSmart to Biscount's Sales Screen.
There are 3 steps to getting the Interface to work correctly
Firstly you need to change 2 things in PartSmart.
You need to set the "BSV Link" and you have to tell PartSmart to display prices.
Select "Files" Drop-down menu.
Select "Utilities" on this Menu.
Select "Configure PartSmart".
In the BSV Link field, input c:\biscwind\psmart
Now still in the "Utilities" menu choose "Setup XXXX Dealer Information"
You need to change the second digit in the "Verification Code" to a B
Setting Biscount's Brand Abbreviation
The Brand Information tells Biscount which Brand in Biscount, represents what Abbreviation from PartSmart.
To set the Brand Abbreviation Information in Biscount.
In Biscount choose "Stock" then "Abbns & Formats" then "Brands" then "Brand Information"
Now select the Brand you are setting, from the list of Brands displayed.
Now choose "PartSmart Abbreviation/s" and input the PartSmart Abbreviation. Note You can input multiple abbreviations for one Biscount Brand (This is required for Toro)
If you don't know the PartSmart Abbreviation, just try and look up a part in PartSmart and the Biscount Interface will tell you what the required Abbreviation is.
